How do i convert a red black speaker wire to, ether a 3.5mm jack, or red white audio cable?
i have an old hi-fi and want to use the speakers for other things now. But they have a red black wire to connect them and i want to use ether a 3.5mm jack or a red white audio jack. which is best and how do i convert it?
p.s the speakers have a 4 ohm inpeedence.
You can wire a mini stereo plug or RCA plug to the wires easily enough, BUT you can't plug speakers into most devices and expect to get much (if any) sound. You don't say what/how you want to use the speakers but you probably need to connect them to an amplifier (rather than an output from an MP3 player, iPad, DVD player, etc).
